What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files a website saves on your phone or computer. Some are needed for the site to work. Others are optional, and we only use those if you say yes.
Cookies we use
| Cookie | Type | Why we use it | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| ll_consent | Essential | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies, so we don’t keep asking. | 12 months |
| Website security and performance cookies | Essential | Set by our website software and hosting to keep the site secure and working properly. | Session, up to 1 year |
| Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*) | Optional (analytics) | Tells us how many people visit and which pages they use, so we can improve the site. We can’t identify you from this. Only used if you accept. | Up to 2 years |
| Google Maps (e.g. NID, AEC) | Optional (third party) | Set by Google when the map on our Contact page loads. Only loaded if you accept, or if you press “Load map”. | Up to 6 months |
Booking online
If you book online, our booking provider may set its own cookies, which are covered by its own privacy and cookie policy.
Changing your choice
You can change your mind at any time. Click Cookie settings (also in the footer of every page) and choose Accept or Reject. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings. If you reject, the site still works. The map on the Contact page shows a “Load map” button and a link to Google Maps instead.
